Overview
Footprint Staffing is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality speech and language services. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will help clients improve communication skills through direct therapy and collaborative care.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children and adolescents thrive in their speech, language, and social development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct speech and language therapy services as outlined in treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
Assist with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication goals
Prepare therapy materials and maintain a safe, engaging treatment environment
Document session notes and track client progress using EMR systems
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
Current SLPA license or registration (as required by state)
Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
CPR certification (preferred)
Ability to pass background checks and meet compliance standards
Preferred Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Familiarity with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and early intervention
Ability to follow structured treatment plans and adapt to client needs
Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation
Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible approach
