Overview
Footprint Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraeducator to join our team and support students in achieving academic and personal success. Working under the supervision of certified teachers and school staff, the Paraeducator will assist in classroom instruction, behavior support, and individualized learning activities—helping create inclusive and engaging environments for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
Support classroom instruction through small group and one-on-one assistance
Assist students with academic tasks, social skills, and behavioral goals
Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff
Supervise students in various settings including classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, and playgrounds
Prepare instructional materials and organize learning activities
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student needs
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with children or students in educational settings
Ability to follow teacher direction and school protocols
Preferred Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting diverse learners
Familiarity with special education practices and inclusive classroom strategies
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs
