Footprint Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient clinic team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality, client-centered care to individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on pediatric populations ages 1–18.

Key Responsibilities 

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist 

• Provide hands-on therapy focused on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and play-based interventions 

• Monitor and document patient progress using EMR systems 

• Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining a safe, engaging treatment environment 

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members 

• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education activities 

Qualifications 

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program 

• Current certification by NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Assistants) 

• Active state license to practice as a COTA 

• CPR certification 

• Experience in outpatient or pediatric settings preferred (new grads welcome) 

Preferred Skills 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

• Familiarity with developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, and autism spectrum conditions 

• Ability to follow treatment protocols and adapt activities to individual needs 

• Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation 

• Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible approach
