Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA

SPLAs work under the supervision of licensed SLPs to help students improve communication and social interaction skills. Their role bridges daily support and therapeutic implementation to ensure consistent progress.

SPLAs are qualified to:

  • Implement therapy activities designed by the supervising SLP

  • Collect and document student performance data

  • Support group and individual sessions in classroom and pull-out settings

  • Prepare instructional materials and assist in therapy planning
